How do I manage emails and close my account?

Manage your notices

Each notice type includes its own unsubscribe link. You can also go to /account/notifications to turn notices on or off and set how often you receive them.

Some emails always come to you: receipts, refunds, payment problems, listing holds and security notices. You cannot stop these.

Update your sign-in address

You change it yourself at /account/email: enter the new address and your password, then press the button in the two emails we send, one to each address. Your sign-in email changes when both are confirmed; other browsers are signed out and a confirmation goes to the old address. Without access to the current inbox, send a request from /help and we check it is you.

Delete your account, profile and personal details

You close your account yourself at /account/privacy: choose 'Close your account', read what will happen, then confirm with your sign-in email and password. Your listings are unpublished, your personal data is removed and you are signed out everywhere. This cannot be undone and paid listings are not refunded; your statutory rights are not affected.

/account/privacy gives you one zip file with everything we hold, invoices included.

Invoices are kept for as long as the law requires. How we handle personal data is explained in /privacy.
