How are launches ranked on Alternative Biz?
Three leaderboards rank launches by votes, paid contributions or domain authority. Top performers each week get Launch of the Week badges.

Community ranking
The Community leaderboard ranks launches by votes alone. Every vote you or another visitor cast moves a launch up or down the list. This is the core ranking on Alternative Biz.
Paid rankings
The Billboard leaderboard shows launches ranked by money contributed to Alternative Biz, with a minimum spend of $5. All Billboard entries are clearly marked as paid so you can compare them against Community rankings.
Domain authority ranking
The Domain Rating leaderboard ranks launches by their Ahrefs Domain Rating score. Each entry shows the current rating, whether it has moved up, down or stayed the same, and the dates the score was last checked and last changed.
Launch of the Week
Each week (Monday to Sunday, UTC) the top 3 launches by Community votes automatically receive a Launch of the Week badge. Winners are emailed when the week closes. You can see these badges on the launch pages themselves.

- No. The Community leaderboard uses votes only. To rank by paid contributions, use the Billboard leaderboard instead, which is clearly labelled as paid.
- What triggers a Launch of the Week badge?
- Being in the top 3 by votes on the Community leaderboard at the end of the week (Sunday, UTC). The badge is awarded automatically and you will be emailed.
- How often is the Domain Rating leaderboard updated?
- The Domain Rating for each launch is checked and updated on the dates shown next to it. The leaderboard reflects these updates as they happen.
