How it started
Neil Lock's company, Zinn Digital®, is the platform he is building at zinndigital.com. Neil grew up with the computer systems on the family farm, the Commodore 64 and the ZX Spectrum, and turned technology into his profession at about twenty. More than 25 years of building software, search and hosting led here: Zinn Digital® is the single product where his hosting, search and AI work come together.
The idea
The platform puts hosting and SEO together, and puts AI first in both. Customers manage everything from one dashboard, in their own language and currency, and the platform is published in 58 languages.
What he is building
Footprint-Free Hosting serves SEOs, and Mainstream Hosting covers managed WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, static and Node sites. The infrastructure under every site is built, tuned and owned by Zinn Digital® itself, end to end. Every site is isolated in its own kernel-level cage under a proactive firewall and malware scanning. Pages are served through a LiteSpeed full-page cache, a Redis object cache per site and the CDN edge, which smart auto-purge keeps in step. Neil built the 24/7 AI support agent, and it has real functions. Developers get a spec-first API, generated SDKs, a CLI, a Terraform provider, signed webhooks and an MCP server. Reseller and agency hosting runs under the customer's own brand.
What's next
The design goal, from the first line, is a platform that scales beyond a million sites.
