How do I sponsor a listing on Alternative Biz?
Book a Sponsored slot on the homepage, category page or weekly newsletter. One sponsor occupies each slot at a time, with queuing if it's taken.

Choosing your slot
Three Sponsored positions are available:
- Homepage: $49 places your company in the sole Sponsored spot on the homepage for 7 days.
- Category page: $19 puts your company at the top of your listing's category page for 7 days.
- Newsletter: $29 reserves the Sponsored place in one issue of the weekly newsletter.
Each position is clearly marked as Sponsored, with the link flagged as sponsored too. Sponsorship does not buy votes or alter any ranking.
How queuing works
One sponsor occupies each slot at any time. When you book, the system shows you which dates you'll receive. If the slot is available, your run begins immediately. If another sponsor is already booked, yours is queued to start when theirs ends. Both the current schedule and your position appear on /sponsor and again in your cart before you complete payment.
Book and track
You'll need a live or booked listing. Visit /sponsor, select your listing, choose the slot and proceed to checkout. You can also book via "Upgrades and extras" on /account/listings, or during the plan stage when you submit a new listing.
Once paid, /account/sponsorships displays each sponsorship with its status (live, scheduled or ended), dates, views and clicks.
Questions people ask
- Can I sponsor a listing that isn't live yet?
- Yes. Your listing must be live or already booked into a launch week. You can book sponsorship when you submit a new listing on the plan step.
- What happens if a slot is already booked?
- Your sponsorship is queued to begin after the current sponsor's run ends. You'll see the exact dates before you pay.
- How do I see how my sponsorship performed?
- Go to /account/sponsorships. It shows each sponsorship's status, dates, number of views and number of clicks.
