Refunds on Alternative Biz

How refunds work on Alternative Biz, what happens when a listing is taken down, and your statutory rights.

Updated

In short

Payments are final; the terms explain this. This does not affect your statutory rights.

When we take a listing down

A take-down always comes with a reason, and the reason sets whether you are refunded. When the take-down is our own decision or a mistake on our side, you get everything you paid for the listing back automatically, to the original payment method, and a credit note. When a listing broke the terms or the acceptable use policy, nothing is refunded: not the listing, not a multi-site purchase's listing, not the add-ons. The paid items come off the site, and we tell you.

Multi-site and crypto

Only one site's listing from a multi-site purchase taken down by our decision? That site's share comes back; the others remain live. Crypto refunds are paid by hand, after you give us a wallet address.

If you dispute a payment

While a payment dispute or reversal is open, the items from that order are taken down; they can come back if the dispute is resolved in our favour.

Refund side effects

An order refunded in full no longer counts against a 'first order only' code. Refunding one Featured order removes just the days that order bought. Sponsorship dates that were refunded can be booked again.
